Wheat paratha is a tasty, healthy and crispy paratha recipe. However, there are various recipes of paratha so one of the paratha recipes I am going to share, and that is wheat paratha. It's the healthy version of paratha and the staple food of north India.
Paratha is also known as Indian flatbread. It can serve with Aloo ki sabzi and pickle. Also, you can enjoy it with gravy or curd. Here is the easy recipe to make Wheat paratha at home.
Ingredients of Wheat Paratha Recipe
- Whole wheat flour - 250 gm
- Ghee - 2 Tablespoons
- Milk for dough - ¾ Cup
- Salt - 1 Teaspoon
- Pure ghee for frying - 1 Cup
How to Make Wheat Paratha
Step 1: Sieve the flour, add ghee and salt to it and mix it well.
Step 2: Now, knead it into the dough by adding milk to form the dough.
Step 3: When the dough is kneaded cover it with a damp cloth and keep aside for half an hour.
Step 4: After half an hour take the dough and make equal size balls.
Step 5: Now, roll out each ball and apply ghee over it and fold into half and brush again with ghee and fold it into a triangle.
Step 6: Then roll out again to 1/2″ thickness and roast on a hot tawa by applying ghee on each side till well cooked from both sides.
Step 7: Serve this fantastic wheat paratha with Sabzi or dal.
