Ingredients of Tomato Saar Recipe
- Tomatoes - 800 gm
- Coconut milk - 2 Cups
- Rice flour - 1 Tablespoon
- Oil - 2 Tablespoons
- Cumin seeds - 1 Teaspoon
- Green chili - 1 Tablespoon
- Red chili powder - ½ Teaspoon
- Salt - ½ Teaspoon
- Coriander leaves - ½ Bunch
How to Make Tomato Saar
Step 1: Blanch the tomatoes. Chop and cook for about 10 minutes.
Step 2: Then blend the tomatoes in a blender to a smooth consistency.
Step 3: Mix a little coconut milk with rice flour to make a smooth paste.
Step 4: Add the remaining coconut milk and mix them well. Add it to the tomatoes.
Step 5: In a pan, heat the oil. Then add cumin seeds, as the cumin crackles add chopped green chili, red chili powder, salt, and sugar.
Step 6: Stir well and add the tomato mixture.
Step 7: Add pepper powder and simmer for about 10 minutes. Check for seasoning.
Step 8: garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
