Rava Ladoo or Suji Laddu is a delicious semolina based ladoo recipe. Rava Ladoo is easier to make Indian sweet recipe which is suitable for all Indian festivals like Navratri, Diwali, and other special occasions. Rava Ladoo is made from Rava (semolina), ghee and dry fruits. The crunchy dry fruits make this sweet more delicious, and everyone in the family will enjoy it.
This quick ladoo recipe required very less time and effort, so you can make it anytime you want to enjoy some sweet. In this recipe I have not used coconut; if you wish to use it, then you can also use it. Let’s learn easy to make homemade Rava ladoo recipe with few easy steps. You can also store it for a few days in an air-tight container.
Ingredients of Rava Ladoo Recipe
- Rava (semolina) - 1 Cup
- Sugar - 1 ½ Cups
- Cashewnuts - 10
- Raisins (kismis) - 10
- Milk - 1 ½ Cups
- Pinch of saffron (kesar) strands
- Cardamom powder (elaichi) - 1 Teaspoon
- Ghee - 2 Cups
How to Make Rava Ladoo
Step 1: Take a thick bottomed frying pan and heat one tablespoon ghee to it. Now, add cashew nuts to it and fry it at LOW flame until it becomes light brown in color and crisp. Ensure that rava is roasted well, if not then roast it again for 2-3 minutes.
Step 2: After that add raisins to it and sauté for few seconds.
Step 3: Now, add ¾ cup of ghee into the frying pan and then add semolina/ rava to the pan. Then roast the rava well at LOW heat until it starts spreading aroma and turn into light golden brown. Continuously stirring it.
Step 4: Once the rava is roasted, add kesar stands, milk, cardamom powder, sugar, and roasted cashew nuts and raisins to it.
Step 5: Combine the mixture well and sauté it for 1-2 minutes. Remove pan from the heat and keep aside to cool.
Step 6: After that, take a few mixtures in your palm and shape them into small round balls.
Step 7: Rava ladoo is now ready to serve. Store the ladoo in an airtight container for 2-3 weeks. Enjoy!
