Today I am sharing a mawa modak recipe which is made from Khoya, milk, sugar and cardamom powder which makes it more delicious and yummy. Mawa Modak is easier to make than the traditional Modak, as you need to add the Modak mixture into the Modak mould and make it, so it saves your time, and you can make it quickly. Ingredients of Mawa Modak Recipe
- Khoya (mawa) - 400 gm
- Sugar - 2 Cups
- Cardamom powder - 1 Teaspoon
- Condensed milk - 1 Cup
- Saffron (kesar) - 2 Tablespoons
How to Make Mawa Modak
Step 1: Take a deep frying pan and add khoya and sugar and let it cook for 20 minutes on LOW heat. Stirring continuously till all the sugar dissolved in the khoya.
Step 2: Now add condensed milk and kesar to the mixture and continue to cook, stirring in between until the mixture becomes thick.
Step 3: Now, add cardamom powder to the mixture and mix it well. When the mixture becomes thick remove it from the heat and keep it aside to let it cool.
Step 4: Now divide the mixture in the small dough and place it into the modak mould to give the perfect shape of the modak. (You can also give a round shape to your dough and make a modak)
Step 5: Repeat this procedure for the whole mixture. Once it’s done its ready to serve.
