Ingredients of Lapsi Recipe
- Wheat flour - 500 gm
- Grated Jaggery - 500 gm
- Ghee - 300 gm
- Warm water - 6 Cups
- Elaichi powder (cardamom powder) - 1 Teaspoon
- Almond - 3 Tablespoons
How to Make Lapsi
Step 1: Heat the pan and add jaggery to it and add 2 cups water and let it melt on MEDIUM heat. Once the jaggery melted, remove it from flame and keep aside.
Step 2: Now, take kadai and add ghee to it and heat it. Then, add wheat flour to it and cook it on a SLOW flame and fry the wheat flour till it turns into golden brown color.
Step 3: Now, add 4 cups warm water to wheat flour and mix it well. Keep stirring the mixture.
Step 4: Cook this mixture for 5-10 minutes. Slow the flame and now add jaggery mixed water to this wheat mixture and mix it well and cook it for 10-15 minutes. Keep stirring.
Step 5: Now add cardamom powder to it and mix well.
Step 6: Garnish with almonds and serve hot.
