Kheema roti or Kheema paratha is a delicious recipe made with the mixture of spiced minced meat. To make the stuffed keema paratha is very easy and can be ready in just 30 minutes. This mughlai Kheema paratha is a popular Indian flatbread, specially in north India. In this recipe, the roti is stuffed with minced meat along with onion, garam masala, green chilies, etc. and then shallow fried and cooked until crisp. It is best to serve in breakfast, lunch or dinner along with Raita, green coriander chutney, or pickle. Here is the easy recipe to make this delicious Mughlai kheema paratha.
Ingredients of Kheema Roti Recipe
- Flour - 375 gm
- Minced Lamb - 220 gm
- Chopped onion - 1
- Garam masala - 1 Tablespoon
- Chopped coriander leaves - 1 Tablespoon
- Finely chopped green chillies - 3
- Tomato - 1
- Lemon juice - 1 Tablespoon
- Ghee - 2 Tablespoons
- Salt - 1 Teaspoon
How to Make Kheema Roti
Step 1: Take a kadhai and heat a tablespoon of ghee and fry the onion until it tender but not brown, now add meat and cook it until it becomes brown.
Step 2: Now, add tomato, coriander and green chilies and season with garam masala and salt to taste.
Step 3: Cook till meat is tender and keep aside to cool.
Step 4: Meanwhile make smooth, stiff dough from the flour with using enough water.
Step 5: Roll out two rotis (chapati) and spread a spoonful of meat mixture on one, cover with the other roti and seal ends well.
Step 6: Heat griddle (Tava) and cook on both sides with a little ghee till nicely browned, and edges turn crisp.
Step 7: Serve kheema roti with fried eggs for breakfast and plain as a snack.
