Ingredients of Gulkand Peda Recipe
- Soft khoya - 500 gm
- Cardamom powder - ½ Teaspoon
- Powdered Sugar - 2 Cups
- Gulkand - 4 Tablespoons
- Almonds - 6
- Pistachio - 1 Teaspoon
- Semi crushed cardamom seeds - 1 Teaspoon
How to Make Gulkand Peda
Step 1: On a LOW flame, heat the heavy pan and add Gulkand to it. Stir it properly, so the soft lumps will not remain.
Step 2: Now, remove the frying pan from the flame and keep it aside to cool.
Step 3: With the help of grater, grate the khoya and add powdered sugar to it and mix them well.
Step 4: In a non-stick pan, add the mixture and heat it over a HIGH flame for 2-3 minutes.
Step 5: After that, reduce the heat and keep stirring the mixture continuously.
Step 6: When the mixture becomes thick, remove it from the heat. Then add cardamom powder to it and mix them well.
Step 7: Allow it to cool and keep stirring occasionally.
Step 8: Now, take a small part of the mixture into your palm and flatten it. Then place a small amount of Gulkand mixture to it and flattened the piece.
Step 9: Now, again roll it, so the Gulkand is wholly covered with the mixture and lightly press it.
Step 10: Repeat the process with remaining mixture to make rolls.
Step 11: Garnish the rolls with almonds, Pistachio and cardamom seeds.
Step 12: Gulkand Peda is ready to serve.
