Ingredients of Besan Ka Halwa Recipe
- Besan (Gram flour) - 1 Cup
- Sugar - 1 Cup
- Water - 1 Cup
- Ghee - 4 Tablespoons
- Crushed cardamom seeds - ¼ Teaspoon
- Sliced Almonds - 1 Tablespoon
- Sliced pistachio - 1 Tablespoon
How to Make Besan Ka Halwa
Step 1: Put a frying pan over LOW heat and add ghee to it. Let it melt then add besan to it and roast it for 20 minutes till the besan turns into dark brown color. Keep stirring.
Step 2: Then add sugar, cardamom and stir it for 5-6 minutes.
Step 3: Now, add water to it and continuously stir it to avoid forming the lumps.
Step 4: Cook it for 4-5 minutes. Keep stirring.
Step 5: Add almonds and pistachio to it and mix them.
Step 6: Remove the pan from the heat and transfer the halwa into the serving bowl.
Step 7: Garnish the Besan halwa with almonds and pistachio and serve hot.
